Everything Not Running
It was my dad’s birthday yesterday and I rode my bike to his place close to Augsburg. We met at a small café and elaborated on sports, injuries, writing, our family and esotericism. Just good and enjoyable conversation.
I am glad that we have such a great connection. It was brought back to life through sports. My dad started running 2 years after I had started, and, since then, we really created some fantastic family experiences together.
My dad is an interesting character. Sure, he’s old, at least older than me, but he remains open-minded and approachable to new ideas and situations. But most of all, he’s a loving and warm-hearted person.
Many people are afraid to “become like their parents”. I am not. If I am in the place my dad is now when I am 72, I am happy and thankful.
Sprachnachricht
Nachdem der heutige Das Z Letter ja mit einer Umfrage befüllt war, habe ich ein Sonderfolge der Sprachnachricht aufgenommen und mich dem Top-Thema des Laufsports gewidmet: Schuhe.
Thank you for your letter today.. At least it remembered me at my own father , through him I came to running. He called it : " Waldlauf" when he started ca. 19772. Because he wanted to fight against smoking. He ran very long until he got his first stroke. Fortunately throug his running , the stroke was not so heavy. After the stroke he made Nordic walking. This year were 10 years after his dead.
Congratulations on 500! More to come, no doubt.
