An ode to the jog
Coach asked me to reflect on what a jog is to me. While going out for a jog. Here's what came across my mind.

A jog is to switch the watch face to clock mode. A jog is to be light on the feet. A jog is to not just listen to music, but to feel it. A jog is to briefly speed up to pass that old lady on a bike. A jog is to see, hear and smell the surroundings. A jog is to deeply think everything through and then let it go. A jog is being excited for dinner, preparing the meal in the head already. A jog is returning to your loved ones less exhausted and more full of energy. A jog is craving your next hard workout and recovering from past ones. A jog is a micro reset in life.
In fact a jog is everything but a gap filler. Quite the contrary. It embodies pretty much every element that makes running so beautiful.
